Strife: A Second MOBA From S2 Games

Strife

S2 Games of Heroes of Newerth fame, are trying a second round at MOBAs with Strife. The game is said to be more casual than its predecessor, and adds pets and item crafting to the genre. We had a try at it and appreciate the effort to simplify the MOBA genre for new comers yet keep the game intricate and complex for competitive play, but will it hold up against the competition?

Strife is currently in Open Beta and is available through their website.

ArcheAge Release Announced, But Should You Play Open Beta?

ArcheAge Launch

Trion Games has just announced that ArcheAge will finally be released on September 16. After the long wait, Trion and XLGames finally spilled the beans at PAX, Seattle. For the some who have been playing on the Alpha servers the announcement will make no difference as these players will be able to keep their characters as alpha will simply be moved to public test. Closed beta and open beta players will get wiped on September 10 to give way to the four day head start for Founder accounts. So you got the info, it will be your decision if you can wait or if you’re gonna dive into the open beta at the risk of losing everything on release.

ArcheAge Dates

ArcheAge Dates

We’ve experienced ArcheAge first hand and find its unique approach as a sandbox MMORPG is quite intriguing, from building homes, playing righteously or intentionally playing rogue style and breaking the law, there is little in this game that will hinder you from playing the way you want to. Here’s an example of how you can take the sandbox mmo to the next level.

Maximum Douche-baggery – ZiggyD Gaming

Phrases like WoW killer or “Next Big MMO” get flung around cheaply in this saturated multiplayer era, but with its Free To Play tag we think ArcheAge will indeed bite a big chunk from the population of a lot of games. A lot of us from TheGameArmory will be spending late hours grinding and questing in this game, of course we will share our adventures with you, but it would be a lot cooler if we catch you guys in game 😀

Here’s our run with closed beta:

Yet Another Moba: Gigantic

Gigantic

It looks like the gaming world is going crazy with the small dudes vs the big dude idea. This time around Gigantic lets you play along side the a big hulking beast in this new MOBA and take down the other enemies gigantic ally. The game trails away from the traditional 3 lane structure and employs map levels.

What’s Your Game Booster Made Of?

Razer Game Booster

It’s a well known fact that we, as gamers, try to squeezed every bit of performance out of our beloved PCs. In fact, there are a multitude of methods that we go through to simply get that level of performance that we could say we’re happy about. (Not to mention, brag about) It’s also a well known fact that some ways of upping performance could be sketchy at best and you run the risk of frying your rig and if you do, you end up with a nice looking box of bits that you’d probably have to spend a lot on to get running again. However, the folks at Razer (and how I love their stuff. Where’s my Naga, Razer!?) have developed this nice (and free) package that all gamers would love. It was a serendipitous moment when I found this booster while trying to run a game on my lappy.

I didn’t want to run the risk of overclocking and I was at my wits end AND THEN! I stumbled across Razer’s marvel. And what sweetness it is. Not only does it boost your games but it also has a massive slew of gamer tools that you’ll love from game repair to driver update. This bit of wizardry here gives you a very simply yet sophisticated solution to the never ending quest for FPS.
