Strife: A Second MOBA From S2 Games

Strife

S2 Games of Heroes of Newerth fame, are trying a second round at MOBAs with Strife. The game is said to be more casual than its predecessor, and adds pets and item crafting to the genre. We had a try at it and appreciate the effort to simplify the MOBA genre for new comers yet keep the game intricate and complex for competitive play, but will it hold up against the competition?

Strife is currently in Open Beta and is available through their website.

Yet Another Moba: Gigantic

Gigantic

It looks like the gaming world is going crazy with the small dudes vs the big dude idea. This time around Gigantic lets you play along side the a big hulking beast in this new MOBA and take down the other enemies gigantic ally. The game trails away from the traditional 3 lane structure and employs map levels.

Gnar, The Missing Link

Gnar, The Missing Link

Riot just released a sneak peak of their next addition to League of Legends, Gnar, the missing link. Gnar, our guess – a hat tip to the 1984 Gremlins, switches between both Mini and Mega forms by spending rage.

Mini Gnar is ranged, pretty soft but agile while Mega Gnar does big bursts and is tanky. His transformations make him capable of quick escapes and interval harasses which makes him a viable solo. Riot places him as a top lane champ but we will soon see, we’d like to see him jungle.

Riot doesn’t mention when the Gnar patch will be released, but we hear that we will be able to play the cute little rascal no later than September.
