World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

Finally the cinematic trailer is out for Warlords of Draenor and we are loving it here at The Game Armory. As expected from a World of Warcraft cinematic, it’s action packed with a lot of pows! bams! and splats! And how the plot of WoW is twisting.

This cinematic makes you further wonder what’ll happen next. Asides from the much awaited game improvements of this WoW expansion, I know that all WoW fanatics out there are wondering what’ll the game plot actually be like. This trailer hints at the content and further whets our appetites to know more. I only hope that Warlords of Draenor delivers the content that patrons and newbies will both enjoy.

This Might Be One Of The Best Upcoming Films On Our List

Kung Fury

This Kickstarter project is almost at its goal, with a hilariously over the top trailer, we know the Internet will not leave this project to fail. Still a few things are needed and you just might have or be what these folks need.

Don’t hesitate, collaboration is king.

Good luck Laser Unicorn! We are excited we see what happens to Kung Fury on his quest to take on the Kung Fuhrer.

Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno

Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno is going to be the first of the 2 part continuation of the live action translation of Samurai X. The second part Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends – which sounds like, but we hope won’t be(no more live action movies?), based on the sad OVA finale to the animation series – Rurouni Kenshin: Reflection will come a month later.

One dangling debate hanging around the sequel(s) is if this strategy spears from want of profit for Warner Bros(The first film raked in $37 million locally) or effort to keep the integrity of the Shishio Makoto story line which spanned almost 34 episodes. We believe the later – Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno will be released in Japan on August 1, 2014 while Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends will immediately be released on September 1, 2014.

We hope more dates are announced soon for the rest of us.

Updates:
Manila “Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno” – August 20, 2014, “Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends” – September. 24, 2014.

Shaider Is Back In Space Sheriff Shaider: NEXT GENERATION And Guess Who Else

Space Sheriff- NEXT GENERATION

If your as old as I am, you grew up with a lot of live action fantasy shows from Japan. We didn’t even know what to call them back then but Wikipedia calls them Metal Hero Series, or series-es(?), I know it’s plural as is, it just isn’t plural enough in this context(Bioman, Mask Rider Black, Ultraman, the list goes on). Anyway, I found this floating around the internet and was shocked to see that Naomi Morinaga was in it, last news I heard about her was back in 2012 and it said that she was dead.

THE INTERNET LIIIIEEES!

More research on the issue mentions that her death was “exaggerated” – well it’s not even true apparently! So hooray for Naomi Morinaga, who became a big part of our childhood fantasies as Space Sheriff’s Annie and, ehem, some of our adult fantasies as well – if you didn’t know, yes, she was a pornstar, no biggie so was Cameron Diaz.

The important thing is Shaider is back, and I sure can’t wait for English subtitles and watch the show.

BLUE HAWK!

Update: You can actually watch the entire original series on Youtube. You’re welcome that was the best playlist we could find.

Interstellar’s Breathtaking Trailer Is Surprisingly Hopeful

Interstellar

Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar trailer is gorgeous and surprisingly very optimistic and hopeful in contrast to his previous films.

The movie starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway tinkers with the idea of wormholes for interstellar travel which reminded us of Mass Effect. The movie is out this November.

The Arrow And Batman Universe Make A Delightful Overlap

Arrow’s 3rd season trailer reveals a new villain borrowed from the Batman universe. We can’t help but giggle like excited school girls.

Mad Max: Fury Road Prequel Looks Beautifully Violent

Mad Max: Fury Road the prequel to the original 1985 movie starring Mel Gibson will be out May 15, 2015(date may change). The trailer showing the ever alluring Charlize Theron blowing up cars, dodging brutally swung weapons, and racing salvaged cars through the vast desert has us sold. More explosions please.

Tom Hardy of The Dark Knight Rises fame  plays Mad Max this time around and we can’t shake off the feeling that the mask/face cage he dons in a short chase scene in the trailer may be a bit too Bane inspired.

Comic Con Reveals Footage From The Upcoming Simpsons Family Guy Crossover

While everyone at the San Diego Comics Convention is seeing amazing things first hand, we will have to do with this generous post on Youtube.

After years of fan rivalry, the Simpsons and Griffins finally duke it out in the much awaited crossover. The trailer shows some harmony between the two families, and yes we were hoping for a much more pacified story line(don’t feed the flames :D), but it looks like there is still a lot of pointless bickering and violence going down between the two patriarchs.
